Psalm 27 opens with it: the LORD is my light and my salvation. The heading attributes the psalm to David. It moves from confidence in verses 1 to 6 to pleading in verses 7 to 12, says in verse 13 I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living, and ends with wait for the LORD.
